Tax Due Dates

Tax due dates are crucial for individuals and businesses alike, as they ensure compliance with tax regulations and help avoid penalties. 2026 Tax Due Dates

September 2026

  • September 15th: Partnerships - Last day for calendar-year partnerships to file for 2025 income tax return (form 1065) if they obtained an automatic six month filing extension.

  • September 30th: Estates and Trusts - Last day for filing 2025 income tax return (form 1041) for calendar year estates and trusts that obtained an automatic 5 1/2 month filing extension.

October 2026

  • October 15th: Individuals - Last day for filing 2025 income tax return  (form 1040 or form 1040-SR) by calendar year individuals that obtained a six month extension.

  • October 15th: C Corporations - Last day for filing 2025 income tax return (form 1120) by c corporations that obtained an automatic six month extension.

November 2026

  • November 2: Employers' taxes - Employers of non-agricultural and non-household employees must file return on form 941 to report income tax withholding and FICA taxes for the third quarter of 2025

December 2026

  • December 10: Individuals - Report November tip income of $20 or more to employers (Form 4070).

  • December 16: Calendar-year corporations - Pay the fourth installment of 2024 estimated income taxes, completing Form 1120-W for the corporation’s records.

  • December 16: Employers - Deposit Social Security, Medicare and withheld income taxes for November if the monthly deposit rule applies.

  • December 16: Employers - Deposit nonpayroll withheld income tax for November if the monthly deposit rule applies.
